Actually i want to know if i read a string using gets(), suppose the string is "this is sololearn". I want to know how to operate further, suppose i want to print "is"only or "sololearn" only then how can i do that ??????

you need to Create your own function for that, i dont think there is one

If gets is deprected then which function should be used to read strings.
Is getline a good choice?
