Challenge loses
So how come sometimes when I lose a challenge to a level 16 I only lose 1 xp but when I lose to a level 10 I lose 13 xp and when I lose to a level 7 I lose just one xp? (This is not the total amount I lose it's just the section that says xp lost)

The amount of XP you win or lose depends on the XP your opponent has gained in that particular language, not their overall level.

That's the point about the elo rating system.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system
The stronger your opponent is in comparison to you, the more you gain upon winning and the less penalty you receive for losing against them. Likewise, if you challenge an opponent of lower experience, you gain less on a win and lose more upon a loss.
This means that challenging an opponent of higher XP puts you at an advantage.

Hatsy Rei I challenged a level 7 and lost one xp but lost like 13xp to a level 10. How come?

... As in my first answer, a user's level has nothing to do with the amount of XP they have gained in a particular language.
The level 7 might have played challenges in that language for a long time, while the level 13 did other languages.

Hatsy Rei but what about my friend Basel Al_hajeri.MBH()? I did like a billion Javascript challenges with him yet I lost almost every time and I only lose one xp. I'm sure he won and gained a lot of xp tho.
