Higher level people declining challenges(Why?)

I know I've been hating about challenges recently, and again I have to say(ask) something... Higher level people like Nikolay or (the coder) decline all of my challenges, what's the problem? They play only against lower level people to gain xp and they're afraid that if they lose to me they'll lose like 30+ xp? What's the case here? It's kinda annoying

I have declined challenge with 0xp but don't decline any other Java challenge.

They just don't want to play. Is it something abnormal?

I too dislike it, and never decline challenges even if I may lose.

Maybe they are using their time in better ways than challenges
