Whats more powerful c++ or python?

im confused cause i've heard that c++ is more powerful but if thats true why python is more used, can i do anything with c++? and which one is better?

I feel compelled to point out that Python is written in C, not the other way around. Edit here too: Once a language reaches a certain functional level though...it can be written in itself.

Hopefully others will have some more concrete statements for you.
