Apart from the fact that no knowledge is a waste, what relevance could programming be to someone on another profession (doctor)?

You could probably communicate better with some developers who are building a medical application for you.

That is true Sonic. But how many doctors know how the technologies they use actually work? They can tell you what it does but how it does that remains a mystery to them (Remember even the medical application is based on very advanced codes and to learn up to such a level requires dedication and might require sacrificing their professions as doctors. He might end up prescribing C++ or Java to a fever patient (laughs))

😂😂 That's quite funny, Pascal. But the cout is that what we cant really understand is what makes the difference between the codemen* and the pillsmen*

Moon Apart from their area of speciality...I guess nothing much but my question remains. It mustn't necessarily be a doctor. It could be a journalist who is there for every news or a policeman keeping order...What relevance is programming to them? How well/often will they be able to apply it?
