well machine learning is considered as a specialization in the computer science filed so you can get yourself into the machine learning world to empower your skills, also I want to mention that its not related to CS more than mathematical skills so to be a good machine learning engineer you must have at least a basic knowledge of mathematics ( linear algebra, analysis, statistics, probablility ) rather than computer science .
