How to make another html code? Should I save the first one and then make another one? Then link it on the html that I made?

First time that I tried to code here in solo learn. I just want to make my own website in which I will show you all my stories and poems that I've made. But I have the problem that I want you guys to help me, it's confusing for me on how to link here in solo learn coding. Unlike on desktop that I will save first and then make a new one then link it on my main html. Is it okay if I do it here? I will save first my main html then make a new one and link it on my main html? Is this effective?
