Dislikes (thumbs down) on codes - why?

Excuse me, but what exactly is the point of disliking anyone's code? Other than letting out one's frustration, that is... Even if so, why is it anonymous?? Totally prone to abuse...

<^> not to mention the dislikes on beginners questions: the questions may seem stupid but hey! even the best were amateurs at some point: Simply help when and where you can.

Im not a fan of it either, personally I'm not here because of the learning but rather because I want to help others learn. I find the down votes to be detrimental for beginners as these are the people the app is aimed at, it would be discouraging to get a lot of down votes on something you made as a starter.

Yes...completely true...why to downvote anyone's posts & codes... If u don't like that particular stuff...don't upvote that...& leave that...why downvoting & discouraging that guy... For instance... when this new challenge system was introduced... I posted questions against this decision because it's unfair...but many of the peers neither tried to understand the problem... nor they supported that...only downvoting... Sometimes they downvote just without reading a post...terrible stupidity...

I only dislike those who copy others codes, getting inspired is a different thing and copying is different

Sometimes I accidentally downvote due to 'fat fingers error', and there's a weird bug with replies where sometimes you can click through them to the icons behind (in fact I just did it). I don't always catch those. Code downvotes may be because it doesn't work on the web and you intended it to run on mobile. At first I didn't even realize I could access the website code playground, because I just use Android for everything and links always sent me to the app. There're also slight differences between the mobiles that can make them crash when most of them work fine (ValentinHacker and Burey especially have experience with this). ...and now I'm going to clear the accidental downvote I just did on the last post...which happened behind the reply panel I'm speaking into!

I am using Android and I have it in the code playground, in the tricolon menu, next to 'Share' (upper-right corner of the screen).

i agree if you thumb down a question there had better be a post explaining your reason to the creator. all else is just being rude.
