Where can I download PHP?

So I really want to give backend a try, issue is I cant download PhP, and when I did, ending tags didnt work.

Yes this question is probably asked a lot, but the answers are pretty much all outdated and I feel Sololearn is more reliable

If you are on windows download xampp, it will install all programs necessary, php only is not enough
