I have been doing it like this:

If I have tried hard to understand a topic, and I still don't get it, then I let it go and learn something else first, something that makes more sense to me right now.

I write code, increase my knowledge, keep moving... and very often it happens that after a while suddenly my brain is ready to grasp what felt incomprehensible before.

When I find myself in that situation. I usually seek out tutorials and YouTube videos whose authors approach the subject and communicate the information (using terms and jargon) in a way I can understand.
But I never give up.
