You have to run PHP code on a localhost like XAMPP. PHP can't run in a web browser without it

Can you share your code? people can't help if they can't see your code.

Please provide more information, what web server is in use, how do you load the PHP document in browser (the address typed in address bar) etc.

Please put 'PHP' in Relevant Tags rather than just '1'. It helps narrow down question scope, and to search for similar problems in the future.

There are several possibilities when PHP isn't translated, I'm not familiar with the IDE you are using, whether it installs along with it PHP and web server.

I suggest you to read the manual or help file from that IDE, usually they have short tutorial on how to use the IDE with a certain programming language.
