First python project!

Question

What's a good starter project for a python learner? I'm interested in natural language processing/computational linguistics.

Projects I can collab on would also be great, a friend is the same sort of level.

i think that a good starting project could be to make a chat application using sockets and multithreading that was what i madre first

make you chat application to encrypt the text between users : user type anything encrypt like this --> ... a->z b ->y and so on

make a social media app

For starters you can do something on text analysis eg: word frequency count. Also you can make something as easy as a font convertor and a script convertor. eventually you can graduate to a rule based sentence generator.
