Should I finish a course completely to add it to my LinkedIn profile?

My question is that can I add a course to my LinkedIn without finishing it or only the SoloLearn certificate of the course can be added?
Do you think it is useful to add a SoloLearn certificate to LinkedIn?

I'm also a student of programming, however think I could shed some light. Whether or not the certificate holds any merit shouldn't matter, finish the course and add it, it only shows that you have the drive to teach yourself. All of this helps for a potential employer.
