How to be a programmer?

I'm graduate mechanical engineering this year.
But I want to be a programmer (game developer).
What I have to study?

Well I suggest picking up a couple books on Programming and Game Development. Then picking up a language like C# or C++

Udemy has several courses dedicated to game development so if you dont mind spending some money, thats also a good option
