i personally use Thonny (recommended for beginners) but mainly Anaconda spyder. It's really worth to have a look on on it: https://www.anaconda.com/distribution/

Pycharm- loads slow but is cool. Beginners friendly UI.
Best is Visual Studio Code. But is harder to use for beginners.

Most of the books first recommends Geany. And they strongly support it for the beginners.
But PyCharm has the best features and according to Google it's the best python interpreter.

For blogging type, use Jupyter Notebook
But my Personal favourite is SPYDER .

I'd go with Sublime or Atom: they're beautiful and easy to use
For running your code open the command prompt, go to the desired directory and type python your_code_name.py

i strongly recommend to avoid windows (and additional all microsoft S/W) in general.
