Spacebar or Tab both will work well , just keep in mind that you should keep the indentations of one statement equal

Use a text editor which indents automatically.
I suggest you to use 'visual studio code' or sublime text or atom text editor. These are good text editors supporting syntax highlighting and many other features for html, css, javascript and many more....
