Turbo C++ is a relict from the early 1990s. It was developed before the first international standard in 1998 (ISO/IEC 14882:1998). Before 1998, the de facto standard for C++ was ā€žThe Annotated C++ Reference Manualā€œ, which was a book by Bjarne Stroustrup. This ā€žstandardā€œ used <iostream.h>.
