Coding : Tips & Advice Please?

Dear all,
I am trying my best to learn to code as much as I can, however, I tend to forget as much as I work on.
Can you please give me what are the best practice to learn to code while memorizing and understanding in a better way?

I commit, 60% of my javascript and php came from google. Oh god forgive me.

PS: Take more time at practice than learning. Thats what my prof told me but i dont know if it works somehow.

Also, i think this question have been asked many times. Use the search bar next time before asking.
