Benefits on making a Github account?

Question

I know Github has a community who can work with you, helpful stuffs or codes, and something like extensions. I saw a lot of other sololearners who already had their own Github accounts. I am planning of making one for myself, but what will I benefit on Github as a tiny beginner?

First you take a large software project then having a version control system like Git is a must. Github Is a hosting platform for your git repository, where you can collaborate with you team mates to work on a project setting at different parts of the world. Finally with Github, you contribute to the open source community which is a awesome thing to do as a coder.
