Polymorphism

Iā€™ve read what polymorphism was, but I still donā€™t exactly understand it. Iā€™ve only got to the first mention of polymorphism, in which the lesson is called, well, polymorphism. Can someone tell me what it is? (And, if you can, please tell me a real life example, or use a different, understandable example.)

Just for another example... Is clay another example? It can change shapes, and if youā€™re using it for a stop motion or something, it can be used to make a lot of different characters, with of course, different shapes and personalities.
