What pet projects would you recommend for a beginner to learn skills necessary for most jobs?

I'm building my portfolio and would appreciate any recommendations :)

Thank you Tibor Santa! Yes, OOP seems essential to write more than just scripts, I'm just starting with that šŸ˜ ...and I'll try to think of something pet related šŸ¶šŸ±šŸ˜†

I certainly recommend to practice object-oriented programming, even in python it can give a solid structure to any project, and for some libraries it is really a must to use it. Pet project.. Maybe something that involves cats and dogs? (haha, sorry for the pun) Happy coding!

If you really like sql then I would recommend you to learn tableau. It would help you visualize and analyze your data better and it is also an in demand skill. I am not learning Python so I hope someone else helps you out.
