Is it good to learn jquery when you have not have a strong foundation in javascript?

I just finished learning javascript but their are still some areas which I still dont seem to understand yet, can I still move on to start learning jquery ?

You know some JS basics, right? jQuery is productive library of JS... So, you can start learning to use jQuery instead of mastering JS, but I still wish you to revise JS basics now and then, and master jQuery... Currently TypeScript is popular technology in creating web scripts, which has same syntaxes and semantics, but with extra features than JS...

jQuery is a library of JavaScript. So you can learn both at the same time.
