How do you decide what focus of coding is best?

I have been afraid of coding for a long time, because me and computers do not get along. I am not even joking, one week into research and beginner courses on a couple sites, my computer crashed. I can't even reset it. But, I quickly learned I really enjoy the code aspect of computer science. It's like putting together a puzzle with only an outline of the image, and that is very intriguing to me. I just am not sure what part I would like better. How did you decide?

Best is to try all of them once, like you do with the food. Everyone have different tastes. Similarly in computer science also different people have different areas of interest so I would suggest you to try all one by one and then choose which one suites you the best.

Either way, I suggest you always go through the fundamentals first, even if that's not as entertaining as other subjects. Endure through those first and you'll not regret it. Then, choose the pathway it seems more interesting for you. Maybe research some possible applications, and some may inspire you. Happy learning!

I'm also one of these persons who have to call someone when something with the computer is wrong. ;-) I think, Python is perfect for such cases, because it does all the technical stuff automatically - we can just write a code. Sometimes it's almost as if you're using an application.
