Python is ok. Since you like it already, go ahead.

All languages are useful for what they are built for. Just identify your interest and go for the language that matches. It ain't gonna be easy tho, but winners never quit.

Moe , seeing that a language is simple does not make it the best. Do you want to learn according to your interests or according to market request?
If according to your interests, choose an area. Web development, Android apps/games, iOS app, data science, AI or scripting?
Web developers are to start with html, then css, then mostly javascript.
Android... according to my little knowledge, learn Java, then Android Java or simply Android. You can also learn Unity for the games part.
IOS.. is it swift or Ruby (you'll have to use Google for that.)
Data science, I heard python can do that.
AI.. python, java.. Use Google again, please.
You see that scripting part, that's close to hacking, python can do this too.
I mostly mentioned python here, yeah python is very good and easy, but there are other languages as good as or better than python.
Just pick an area of interest, surf the web to get the capable languages then choose and focus on one either according to simplicity or according to market demand.
