Definitely! I also started learning Java as my first programming language, and then when I needed to “switch” to different ones in school subjects, I could use the knowledge of Java.

Of course. Java was my first programming language. It doesn't really matter what programming language you choose to learn first. Once you learn one language, it gets easier to learn others.
