most people learn job specific languages. so basically you should find out which languages your career calls for, and master those. then learn other languages to compliment your skills

python is good for learning purposes. bt since it very straight forward and you have most of the modules prewritten its very difficult now to to test your coding skills. so it's important that you learn other basic languages like C or C++

yes, I recommend German, Russian and Arabic but stay away from French and English.
