Customizing build for prog/gaming

I'm making a build specifically for programming/gaming... Budget is $2,500 (college student struggle is real). Already have two 27' monitors. any suggestions!?? This is what I've got so far. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vVpLjc

Well ideally you'd use Linux for programming, and Windows for games. Maybe try dual booting or just sticking it out with Windows. Linux is freeeee thooo college student!

For gaming I would say a minimum of 12GB RAM. No less than 600 Watt power supply, and pick up a 1 TB HDD... you could go for an SSD but they are extremely pricey. For processor Intel is the obvious king... but don't look down on AMD. They have some incredible processors for way cheaper than intel. For AMD no less than 4.0 GHz and Intel no less than 3.0 GHz (they clock their speeds differently). Graphics Card you have a lot of options. AMD has the RX-470 and 480 which are very cost efficient cards, NVidia has the 900 and 1000 series cards... which some can be pricey. i have a 1060 in my build right now and it is working wonders! I think that covers all the specifics. Good Luck!

How much ram and cpu storage is enough? My old computer had so many large files that it made everything extremely slow 😝
