What programming languague/s is/are the best for developing predicting models in sport

Python and R. You can use Java, Scala, SAS and others too, but I'd personally advise to focus on the former. You can do any kind of data science/analytics with Python and/or R.

It can be done in any language but ones like Python which have more libraries for supporting the modelling would be preferable.

Thank you for the reply. I just begun on programming languages, but I have one idea/project that it's impossible with my actual knowledge to make it happen. I started with python, but the others referenced programs I don't know :s I hope to reach there. Once again I'm very thankful
