Best language for creating study tool

I'm trying to make studying 'fun' for French and MolecChem class. Java was the first language I learned a couple of years ago, but I want to create a program that consecutively spits flashcards back to me. Fellow programmers, which language is best for this task, if not java? fanks :-)

There's nothing wrong with learning 1 language really well before moving on. Really for what your asking any of the main languages here will work. C# should be pretty easy to pick up coming from a Java background, they're very similar. Python is a pretty easy (imo) and versatile language to have in your pocket too! Same goes for Ruby.
