@Junaid Shah Then go with your gut, you can't go wrong going that route. Picking up something like Xamarin and c# wouldn't be difficult later on if you wanted to, or any of the other ways I mentioned. Gotta start somewhere and learning Java and native Android development isn't a bad way to begin at all. Best of luck.

Few different ways you can do this. You can build an app with Android studio using Java, like the other commenter mentioned. You can use Xamarin and build a cross platform app using c#. There is even App inventor 2 by MIT, but in my experience the apps were fairly basic. You can use Phonegap, I've only really used it before by taking a existing web app I have created and making it accessible on a mobile device. I did however attend a session by profound logic at an IBM conference a few months ago. Where they demonstrated some powerful ways of using Phonegap, I believe they have more info on that on their website/blog.
