Help with js

Question

Hey guys I have a problem in js sometimes when I refer to an element in the document and assign a property to it I keep getting this error

Cant read a property of a null

Can anyone help,

Maybe you didn't select the element properly. And it would help a lot if you would share a code example here (post to the playgroung and then click the plus in the post and then "insert element")
