Is it necessary to have knowledge about other programming language for learning java??

No, definitely not! Although it can be tough do gasp the concept of a language like C after learning java, where alot of functionality is "missing". But my University uses Java for introducing students to programming and its also used throughout the whole Bachelor and Master degree.

not necessary but if you have some idea about other programming languages it will be a bit easier to relate to the working of a particular code or how to write one in order to arrive at a particular result.
