Google search about Ruby

When I searched up "Ruby coding language uses" It said "However, it is a general-purpose language similar to Python." So is this true?

Yes Ruby is a general purpose programming language that means it is designed to be used for writing software in the widest variety of application domains. But where on one hand python is primarily used in machine learning and data science , on the other hand Ruby is primarily used for building web applications
