Is Java really becoming unpopular ?

I saw a recent survey on StackOverFlow about language use and popularity. And java was not even in the list and Rust was leading.

extremely debatable. java will still be around for decades to come. especially in terms of legacy code projects made in the past using an older version of JDK. it's time consuming and expensive to migrate an entire infrastructure from a programming language to another along with its dependencies on external programs, and easier to maintain it above the floating line.

it might be losing popularity because other dynamic languages are taking over, but still for an android app, java is the favorite one

Java not in the list and Rust was leading? That's definitely fake. I mean Rust is widely used but is definitely not the most popular when there is C, JavaScript, Python etc. Also Java is still widely used to develop web applications.

It wasn't about use and popularity, but the community most loved.

I feel like java has passed it peak. It isnt too fast, and most web apps are written in other languages now. It will still be around for a while, but other languages like Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, and others will eventually make it obselete.
