What are necessary things/skills an android developer should know?

I have recently started to get into android development and I am doing to course but i feel like i am only scratching the surface. What are the things i should know in depth and what are the things i should just be acquainted with?

As you have already tagged, you must know about Java/Kotlin if you are doing in native and XML for UI related stuff. Other than languages, you should have knowledge about different APIs, libraries, connections with databases and server, etc. You can learn new things and implement them and it keeps going.
