Does it help solving programming problems?

Ive been programming for over a month now, finished 2 python courses, and now everyday I spend 3 hours doing challenges on Code Wars. Today I read that this is a waste of time, is that true? I am aiming at becoming a software engineer, so is doing challenges and problems useful for me?

If it's challenging you then yes because it's showing where you need work and practice helps you to become more fluent.

Absolutely. Solving tasks and practice in writing code that are definitely the most important and useful things for all software developers.

I think only doing online courses is not enough to learn any language in depth. First you should practice on hackerrank and when you feel confident in it than go to codechef Or leetcode or codeforces and participate in contests.
