Did something change in the q&a section?

Question

In the trending section of Q&A, questions that have a lot of upvotes but weren't posted recently are being shown up (like a code request question and the "let's stay safe" question). These questions weren't shown in the trending section before so did the algorithm change? A similar thing is happening in the code playground too.
