Computer scientists have a focus on solving problems, and a way of building solutions, which is unique, versatile, and powerful. That takes time, experience, and probably some more classes. I can send you a few books focused on what you want to improve, if you give more information. Books with problems that after observing a while you can understand and much more. I repeat, the basis of everything is practice. Think of an algebra problem and the thousands of ways to solve it, the more times you read it, the more you'll see behind the problem. I wish you fluffy animals. Please, delete/add more adorable things to my argument, dear community

Books are great for learning but I prefer online sources like soloLearn, W3Schools, Udacity and etc. Online sources are more flexible, searchable, and have online playgrounds for coding. Besides, to become a good programmer just practice. Write codes. as @Gato Neko said, solving problems and finding solution is the best activator. Try to define a project for yourself and then write the code to solve the issue.
