How long does it take to be decent at coding? How much time must I put in daily

That depends on how fast you can learn and everyone is different. Just keep learning and you will get better

Depends on what you mean by decent. Like most other hobbies or skills, be prepared to sink some SERIOUS time into coding if thats what you want to do. Theres no set time, its up to you. And complete the python course before you go on to data science/ML. Save you tons of headache

Challenge yourself, the struggle is what makes it real, at least for me. I started with several different languages, but Python really makes things easier. You should write a program everyday, if you can't think of something to code, recreate someone else's code, make a simple guessing game, make a simple calculator or text based adventure, then once you feel ready you should try www.pythonchallenge.com And learn to code from there, there are several puzzles to solve, and each one is harder than the next. Really try to solve the puzzles before you Google the answers. However, once you have completed it, go back through and try to complete it without looking at the answers.
