1.Use linux to install buildozer. Then use buildozer to build android app from python code
2. Actually whole world uses 2 kind of apps:
a-native for that use android studio. And learn java+kotlin
b-hybrid for that use whatever you know to use(js,c#,python,c++,ruby whatever) and seek framework, library to pack it into apk.
About your last question, IMHO, the main idea of mobile app is to make life of human easier

You can devlop application in many language like Kotlin, Java,python and there might be more which i dont know..
But from 2018 google have shifted its base from JAVA to KOTLIN and asked their developers to learn kotlin .
If you want to learn kotlin there is free course on sololearn,you can also find google documentation on android website and there is also a course developed by google professionals to learn kotlin language which is free to everyone on Udacity
