How do I save my code?

Hello, just started learning python; does anyone know how I can save my code so I can continue at another time? I'm using the IDLE version on windows 10, with only the most basic understanding of the language. Thanks in advance!

If you try to run your application, by pressing F5, IDLE will require saving and will open a box to name your file.py

At the menu there's an option to save your code, or open it. once you save it, you can open it later
