$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST]

What exactly changes the output of this? The folder all the files are placed in? The URL? I don't really get it :/

As far as I understand, $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] holds a string which is changed by the server. But what exactly is it, that this variable holds?

it is based on client side request
