Because url should end with jpg ,png , jpeg or svg. You can further upload this img via Dropbox or any cloud storage device..if required.

It is not the link of image it is link of page having image.
Long press on it and select open image in new tab and then copy the link of address bar. It is the link (that is so long due to base64 encryption).
