I don't know how to explain it. But I have noticed that many users follow me and when I follow them back ,they unfollow me . This has kinda became the ninja technique of gaining followers. A lot of users are doing this and this annoys the hell out of me. Are you'll also facing such users??

You can begin by following people whose content you actually want to see in your activity feed, not just random users who followed you. Over the span of years I've only accumulated about 50+ users whom I follow. If you focus on generating good content such as codes and decent answers in Q&A, your followers will increase slowly but steadily, so it really isn't something which you should worry about.

Follow only people who have interesting profiles and don't follow others. That's easy.

That's not a trend, it's a known mechanism to build reach and credibility.On Twitter, people also tend to do it.

To be honest, I am checking it out too, at the moment. I want to know, whats so conversion rate on this. At the moment, its about 5% for me. So for every follower I have to follow about 20 coders here. Probably this number can be raised. I have not unfollowed anyone, so for everyone its clear what's going on with my account.

I would guess by using a fancy unicode name and a female or somehow sweet image, the rate could be raised.

Literally kinda acting happened for me several times only if we follow them back they follow else they do unfollow repeatedly...

no, this is not with me but sometimes with me when i unfollow anyone then he/she unfollow me
