It depends on what u want to do As:
Java can be used for app development
C++ Can be used in game development
Python Can be used in machine learning
Javascript can be used in web development
And a lot more uses

There's no best. It's subjective and depends on the application.

Each language has its own purpose.
Ask yourself what is it that you want to program and use Google to find out what's the best language for this purpose.
I learned C because I just wanted to program, nothing in particular, and I found that C is an old language that influenced lots of the currently used languages.
I thought of it like Latin. Even though Latin is not that useful per se in these days, knowing it gives you an advantage on learning a range of useful languages (cause they use similar words and/or grammar)
Also I've read somewhere that C is more difficult to learn than other languages.
For me this was a nice thing cause I lack in self confidence and I needed a tough achievement to tell to myself that I can become a programmer.
For you it can be a bad thing because... because objectively that's what it is.
While learning C I've found out that web development is what I want to do and I need JavaScript for this purpose.
