When to ask for help?

As a beginner programmer, how do you know when it's time to ask for help? I am a beginner in JavaScript programming, and sometimes it takes me a lot more time to solve a problem if I find it difficult. If I am not able to solve the problem, I don't move to the next one and I feel like I am learning slowly because of this. As it now some questions are so difficult that sometimes it could take me a day before I could figure out the answer, sometimes even more.
Should I continue to work on the problem until I get it right or should I ask for help if I am finding it too difficult?

When?
When you have tried (not before), and still unable to solve the problem. When it comes to quizzes in the lessons here, always try to review the relevant chapter, and also consult the lesson comments.

And one more thing, do not be afraid to ask, this forum has a friendly community, as far as I can say. Though it is worthed to mind the rules when asking questions, so to avoid misunderstanding.

Learning slowly is not bad, but learn things wrong. It's okay to solve a problem slowly, after all you solved it. If you find that you can't solve a problem. You're welcome to ask providing your attempt. Feel free to ask. We're willing to answer.
