what should I do?

I am intending to start using linux os. But I haven't used linux before. So,someone please help me with what should I do?If I use then which distro?
I am a windows 7 user. And mt pc specs are:
Intel core i3 2nd gen. 2.30 ghz.

Please,help me out!!

I prefer using virtual box as a medium rather than dual boot mode..

Just look for a lighter distro, download it, use etcher to make a bootable usb out of the iso,

if you want to keep windows:
partition your hard drive to your liking and install linux in the empty space you made

if you just want linux as main os:
just overwrite the whole drive

1st use linux in virtualbox/vmware.
Then if you fell it comfortable, switch to linux..Btw, if you want to learn ethical hacking I will prefer Kali Linux.
