How long would it take me to develop a chat application in phyton

Hi! My name is Dev. I am 17 years old teen from Malaysia. Recently, me and my friend came up with an idea to create a chat app just for our circle of friends. The thing is, right now in school, we got to learn a bit of java, and our course work involved alot of html, css, sql and very little JavaScript. I also went an extra mile by learning java by myself through bunch of youtube videos and websites. My question is, with the very little knowledge i have right now with programming, how long would it take me to learn Phyton, specifically to develop a chatting app. When i say little knowledge, i managed to learn how to make simple calculators Iike, quadratic equation, bmi(easy), and I tried making a text based rpg which i stopped midway for some reason. Thanks for your help

You will need to work with frontend and backend and also a database if you need to retain the messages sent, if you aren't very familiar with all of them then it's gonna take you a while. I suggest you build something simpler first like a weather app
