What language should a total beginner start with?

I'm interested in building apps and webpages, but I'm a total beginner.

you can start with any of these languages they are easy and explain all the programming fundamentals 1. C/C++ - learn either one and other will be just a piece of cake. I learned both as my first programming language and got familiar with all the most basic programming concepts. 2. python - it is also one of the most easy language to start with and due to its user friendly coding environment you won't feel the technology as an alien 3. HTML & CSS - if you're planning to go into webdevelopment then learn HTML & CSS. they are fundamental for Web development and very easy to learn. If you put some serious efforts into it, it's only half a month to grasp every logic of both. Programming rules are almost similar in all the languages so learn 1 language seriously and you won't have problems learning others. cheers ✌

If you hate syntax, start with Python. Once you get the hang of it, logic, data types, conditions, etc... you may invite more complex ways to write the same thing learning other languages. But learning the language is not the same as learning to be creative and productive with them. Then, and only then, you will learn to actually build things and make your choice of language considering many other variables beyond preferences.
