What is the purpose or importance of the visibility:hidden

Question

It was a bit confusing to me when trying to understand the main reason of "hiding" the visibility property. Why hiding any block so that it can't be shown in the site? What was the main reason this property was included in the CSS?

Coz it's likely to hide something which is over "flowing" like if you maked something which is overlapping and you don't want that! In that case you can use that property
